INDOT Road Closure for Intersection of SR 120 and CR 17 in Elkhart County

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that maintenance crews plan to make signal improvements at the intersection of S.R. 120 and C.R. 17 in Elkhart County. The work will disable the signals at S.R. 120 and C.R. 17 beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, weather permitting. Drivers should expect stopped traffic as law enforcement official assist with traffic control at the intersection while the work is completed. Work is expected to be completed by noon the same day. CSX is planning to do a large track work project installing new rail starting on or about 10/15/18. As a result of this track work CSX will be able to rebuild numerous private and public road crossings in your towns, cities, or counties. These crossings will be closed with signage by Traffic Control Specialist. They will detour crossings that require a detour. These crossings will be closed 7-10 days depending on production and weather.

INDOT Road Closure for S.R. 4

Bridge rehabilitation will take place between C.R. 29 and C.R. 33

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that bridge rehabilitation is scheduled for S.R. 4 over Hoover Ditch in Elkhart County. S.R. 4 is expected to close on or after Tuesday, Sept. 4, weather permitting. The closure, which will allow contractors to complete bridge rehabilitation, is scheduled to take place between C.R. 29 and C.R. 33. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be S.R. 15 to U.S. 20 to S.R. 13. The road may be closed up to 60 calendar days. Work on the S.R.4 bridge over Hoover Ditch is expected to continue through mid-November, weather permitting.
